Two narrative openings
1) Dialogue-
“Hey its grandma, guess what today is? First day of Hampton Fun!”
I answered with such a surprised tone of voice even though I knew what today was, “Really! Wow it came so quick, this is exciting!”
2) Setting- Ring! Ring! Ring! I gradually rolled over to reach my alarm clock and I slammed the off button. The alarm clock never does its job, but my quick glance at my packed bags gave me an urge to wake up. I stretched, and stood straight up, not a single stumble like I’ve been up for hours. Today was a different day.
